Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty: what you need to know about the new expansion

Subject of speculation since the announcement of the last City cable at night, an event organized by CD Projekt to talk about Cyberpunk 2077, the extension of the latest addition to the Polish studio became reality yesterday. Indeed, it was during this meeting that Phantom Freedom was presented in due form. He will settle in Pacifica, an area of illegality where the protagonist’s gab will not be enough to seduce its inhabitants. On this subject, the rumors were therefore correct. As for a possible release date, we will have to wait until 2023 to see the extension arrive, which will only be available on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series.. Therefore, everyone will not be able to take advantage of it, especially since CD Projekt has announced the cessation of updates for the old consoles (PS4 and Xbox One).

Phantom Liberty: the first and final expansion of Cyberpunk 2077

As for the Phantom Liberty, the extension was presented through a one-minute trailer (see above). It was broadcast during the live broadcast City cable at night from the studio’s Twitch channel, but also from the game’s Youtube channel. Reading the comments written on this trailer, you can see the enthusiasm of the fans for this additional narrative content that they consider Cyberpunk 2077 as a video game with enormous potential. An enthusiasm that the studio wanted to respond to, which specifies something interesting:

Cyberpunk 2077: despite its new extension, CD Projekt's game shouldn't follow the same path as The Witcher 3

I am happy to know that we have managed to arouse your curiosity. As for the future, Phantom Liberty is the only expansion planned for Cyberpunk 2077.

Cyberpunk 2077 should therefore not take the same path as The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt. CD Projekt’s previous game had two expansions, Hearts of Stone and Blood & Wine, considered to be among the best DLC ever made. Fans had therefore predicted a similar fate for Cyberpunk 2077, hoping to see it emerge from its chaotic launch. Obviously this will not be the case.
