MEDIA – Guest of the show from seven to eight on TF1 this Sunday, September 11, Bilal Hassani publicly revealed a rape that he says he was the victim of three years ago, after a party.

The singer, who has dedicated a title to his next album – Theoremwhich will be released this fall – to this drama, confided in an interview with Audrey Crespo-Mara (listen in the video below).

“It’s something that has haunted me since the year it happened, it was 2019. Someone in my circle, someone I trusted; we left in the evening. I came home from that night with him. I had drunk, all of a sudden, two, three glasses. But I haven’t felt what you feel when you drink two, three glasses. I was clearly under the influence of a substance I didn’t want to take, and I started having blackouts, moments when I had no memory. And I was waking up, and it was happening that can result in sexual assault. It was a rape “says the representative of France at Eurovision 2019.

“I woke up the next morning, he was in my bed and I couldn’t understand why, and I was like, ‘don’t ask questions, don’t say anything, go on, go on’continues Bilal Hassani.

Why didn’t you file a complaint? “I couldn’t talk about it in public, and this is the only time I will. I didn’t feel like giving a new rope to feed the hate I’m receiving “replies the juror of season 12 of Dance with the stars. “In fact, what would have happened, if I had filed a complaint, would have known, fairly quickly, and it would have become the topic”concludes.
