Game news PSVR 2: 4K gameplay for Firewall Ultra, a PS5 exclusive
If you’re looking forward to the PlayStation VR 2 headset and loved Firewall Zero Hour, this news is for you. Sony has just announced on its PlayStation Blog the arrival of Firewall Ultra, a PlayStation 5 exclusive.
Gameplay for a PSVR 2 game
After getting their hands on Sony’s first virtual reality headset, the PSVR, First Contact Entertainment is back to offer gamers Firewall Ultra. Expected on PSVR 2, this Firewall: Zero Hour sequel is a multiplayer FPS that aims to “push the limits” of the genre.
To achieve this, we learn that the title (which unfortunately does not yet have a release date) will use all the features of the VR headset. We learn in particular that it will integrate 4K (watch the trailer in 4K), but also HDR, and that all character models have been completely reworked.
The game takes place five years after the original adventure. Contractors and the places you love have evolved to adapt to the new generation. Since PSVR 2 offers significantly higher visual fidelity thanks to 4K and HDR, we have completely reworked all the character models. Frank Marm, Community Manager, First Contact Entertainment
It should also be noted that we will find the cards of the first opus, but that these will be arranged differently and will benefit from new textures to make the most of the capabilities of PlayStation VR 2 once again.
The rules have changed
For those who have already devoted many hours to the first work, know that the rules have changed to make this sequel more competitive. From now on, the title will therefore have dedicated servers, but will also and above all offer more rounds within the same game. To win a match, therefore, it will be necessary to succeed two out of three rounds.
Finally, Firewall Ultra will integrate a PvE experience that will put team play in the foreground and use PlayStation VR2’s Sense function and eye movement detection. By simply moving your eyes it will be possible, for example, to change weapons or view HUD indicators thanks to the cameras integrated into the PSVR 2 helmet.
