The investigation continues into the investigation into the death of Kiely Rodni, this 16-year-old teenager found lifeless in her submerged car in California.
The police continue the investigation into the death of the young Kiely Rodni. The 16-year-old was found lifeless in late August in her submerged car at the Prosser Reservoir in California. Before her disappearance two weeks before her, the girl had attended a party from which she had never returned. Despite the many means put in place by the investigators to try to find it, in the end it was the divers of a team of amateurs who discovered the vehicle underwater, with the body inside. Many questions remain to be resolved.
The “Reno Gazette Journal” indicates that the police have so far made no further progress, estimating that they would likely get results in several weeks. Agents rely in particular on the autopsy report, which must include toxicological analyzes. Thanks to him, the police will be able to establish what the teenager died of but especially if she had consumed prohibited substances. The “Sun” wrote last August that men in their thirties would distribute free drugs, including mushrooms and cocaine during the evening. Alcohol was also allegedly consumed, which is illegal in the United States under 21.
Police are also examining Kiely’s vehicle. There, too, analyzes are carried out to understand what could have happened before his journey on the water ended. Speed, brakes, an accident, mechanical problems, all the tracks are open on this topic.
“It seems suspicious to me”
But while the authorities seem to be in trouble for the moment to carry out their investigations, many rumors are spreading on social networks. This story, which fascinated Americans in August, took a turn when divers discovered the body. The latter posted a video on YouTube in which they film the moment the car was spotted. They explain that Kiely was in the back of the car, the passenger side window is broken and the driver side window is “half open”. Then a question immediately arises: why was the young woman not in the driver’s seat, if she was alone at that moment? “It looks suspicious to me,” says one of the divers.
On another YouTube channel, a user calling himself Checkit TV claims to have found a laptop and other items belonging to Kiely where the car was. He claims he got his hands on him including a sports bag, a hairbrush, a charging cable and a gift box, points to the “Sun”. A spokesperson for the Nevada County Sheriff told the tabloid: “I can confirm that our office has contacted the individual who claims to have repossessed some of Kiely’s property and that we have taken possession of these items. I can’t, at this point. , say whether they belonged to Kiely or not ”.
In total, between 200 and 300 people, teenagers and young adults were present at the party, but few agreed to cooperate with the police at the start of the investigation. “People don’t talk to us,” Officer Angela Musallam of the Placer County Sheriff’s Office told the New York Post. “A lot of people who were at the party are about to start college and are afraid it will ruin their future or something,” she added.
