When you’re a leisure vehicle, you can’t be very big without having to be ashamed of it, hiding a treasure trove of equipment. This is the case of the Bavaria MC500BC, a camper of less than 5 meters and yet with 4 beds in the cabin.

Renamed MC500BC (formerly MC490BC), the small van from Bavaria is a good lesson in ambitious modesty. A virtual oxymoron for a model of only 4.99 m in length but with an interior layout worthy of the upper segment. Well, almost because, let’s be honest, when neither an indoor shower nor a toilet is offered (only an external shower is supplied as standard while portable toilets are offered as an option), we cannot decently claim long distance travel without outside “help”.

Small but smart

Either way, the Master Camper will delight adventurous couples and small families at heart, or friends looking for a versatile vehicle that can sneak anywhere. A bench also enriched with two drawers underneath, and convertible into a first bed for two adultswith a width of 124 cm.

Never without its roof

On the galley side, the Groupe Pilote van block (the Bavaria brand belongs to the French leisure vehicle group) is equipped with a combined with two gas burners with electric ignition, a sink, a worktop and, on the closet side, three large drawers and a wardrobe. A kitchen also equipped with a 220V socket ea 49 liter compressor refrigeratorwhich will allow you to store the minimum amount of food in the refrigerator.

A skyrocketing price

Sold as standard with cruise control / speed limiter, reverse radar, hill start assist and full LED lighting, the MC500BC finally has a real secret weapon: a folding roof to accommodate two adults, consisting of three openings and a network on pedestals, bringing the number of standard beds to four adults, from the first arrival level. Sold with blackout curtains on all windows, the Camper Van Bavaria MC500BC camped on 16 ” sheet metal wheels is sold for € 57,900when his ancestor was traded last spring for € 46,900.
