It was in the height of summer and long holidays, with a curious sense of timing, that the small English team of Two Point Studios decided to release their university city-builder. Four weeks later, the start of the new school year is positive and Two-point campus, which puts you at the head of a faculty, has already passed the symbolic threshold of one million sales worldwide. He does even better than his older brother, Two point hospital, another studio production released in 2018, which, as the name suggests, has entrusted you with the management of a clinic.

Two-point campus covers the basics of Two-point hospital even if here it is no longer a question of building operating rooms but of classrooms and everything that goes with it: library, classrooms but also student classrooms, rest room for teachers, toilets … Each room is easily drawn with the mouse ( or joystick) and is filled with furniture in a few clicks: steps for the classrooms, shelves for the library, even towels in the bathrooms. During the game, a multitude of elements are also unlocked to always improve its campus, such as a dozen different benches for the surroundings of the university or an unlikely variety of candy dispensers to dress the corridors.

Profitable student parties …

Because nothing is very serious in this university. Like its predecessor Hospitalthis Campus bet on madness. Of course there are these very cartoonish graphics, but we quickly come to insert curious elements into the decor, like pink canopy beds to decorate student rooms or a window that promotes the quick nap club. The formations, which you choose, are online and soon your proteges will specialize in cavalry or virtual normality.

Each new piece installed in your university, and also each new poster attached to the wall, improves the level of your facility, the satisfaction of your young people and their success rates. But it costs money. For this to work, you need to keep an eye on the budget – students pay tuition fees. Small challenges, like installing new equipment or organizing a student party, can improve the ordinary, unlocking additional funds and items.

All this, and this is perhaps the limit of the exercise, never turns out to be very difficult. The game isn’t punishing, even if you don’t do your homework correctly. At worst, you just have to wait a bit, to collect some additional registration fees and have the means to finish this magnificent science classroom of your dreams. Fans of demanding “city builders” can therefore skip it, but if you are looking for a game focused on relaxation, this is it Campus opens its doors to you.
